The World’s Smallest Primark Is Opening At Legoland (Spoiler, It’s Adorable!)

Published

Birmingham may be home to the world’s largest Primark store, but next week marks the grand opening of the world’s smallest Primark at the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham.

The LEGO model, situated in Miniland, is an identical replica of the city’s 160,000 square foot Primark, which opened its doors in 2019. With five floors, offering a range of fashion, beauty and homeware, the Guinness World Record awarded store now welcomes a miniature sibling built from 2988 Lego bricks.

Replicating both the store’s interior and iconic exterior, including The Primark Café with Disney, beauty salon, 203 items of clothing along with figures of actual local Primark colleagues. However the attention to detail doesn’t stop there, the structure also features 12 mannequins, 4 escalators, 2 tills and LEGO Birmingham shoppers leaving the store with the well-known, brown paper bags.

I was a bit worried about running both stores but thankfully the team at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham have recreated myself and the brilliant Birmingham Primark team in minifigure form so I know the store will be in good hands

Paul Chittim, General Manager for Primark Birmingham

Speaking on the new miniature LEGO landmark, Amy Langham, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham’s General Manager said: “Our new Primark store is just the latest addition to our magnificent MINILAND at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, which celebrates all the iconic Birmingham landmarks in a smaller form.”

So if you happen to be in Birmingham, make sure to not only check out the world’s largest Primark but the world’s smallest Primark too at the city’s LEGOLAND Discovery Centre!
