Stop what you’re doing right now because American singer, Billie Eilish just unveiled the latest Gucci eyewear instalment and let us say, we’re Happier Than Ever!

Taking us on a dreamlike car ride alongside the music sensation, who is considered by many to the voice of her generation, Eilish sports her distinctive style in a series of bold portraits. Embracing her authenticity and values of self-expression, which speak to the core values of the House itself, this film noir-inspired campaign marks the second release of Gucci’s 2022 eyewear collection.

The suspenseful trip, of contrasting light effects, a rich colour palette and unbalanced compositions, explores the idea of cars being a symbolic extension of those who drive them – often revealing their intentions, motivations, and personality. Encapsulating the fusion of modern sophistication with retro allure, the new collection is subtly showcased throughout the campaign’s mysterious mood. From the opening scene where Eilish presents the black acetate caravan sunglasses, completed with a gold-toned Gucci script logo, to a pink cat-eye design and ’80s inspired oversized sun mask – of course, also elevated to the next level by the iconic Gucci script logo on the temples.

This campaign and collection completely reinterprets the Fashion House’s timeless aesthetic, with each eyewear style perfectly mirroring the dark, cinematic mood and intriguing plot. So what are we waiting for? It’s time to unravel this mystery in style!
