Lacoste Together With Rapper A$AP Nast Present New Footwear Silhouette

Published

Push your old trainers to the side because there’s a new classic in town, rich heritage tennis meets utterly modern as Lacoste introduce us to their new sneaker silhouette, the L001.

Taking key details from the Rene, found in the Lacoste archives as the first-ever shoe created by Rene Lacoste, this sneaker has a dynamic style with reinvention at its heart. With a retro shape and triangular design, the L001 screams elegantly sporty whilst paying tribute to some of the brand’s iconic details and most recognisable sportswear motifs. The style also incorporates clean stripes and the subtle but effective use of primary bright colours and timeless hues, including white, court green, rich navy, mahogany and red.

Designed for the modern sneaker fan who respects the artefacts of culture, this clean and geometric shoe showcases a nostalgic-feeling thick yet streamlined sole, whilst the smooth tumble leather appropriately elevates this for all occasions. This minimalist fashion staple, authentically rooted in history with nods to the brand’s heritage tennis DNA, balances practicality and stylish details for an all-day active lifestyle.

The visibly iconic Croc branding on the heel and the added pops of brightness make this trainer an easy and refined way to add colour to your outfits – and one that will last season upon season, year upon year.

Revealed by streetwear connoisseur, rapper and Lacoste fan A$AP Nast, this launch arrives as part of the Play Collective campaign, which was first presented in April of this year. Radiating his own interpretation of elegance within the campaign, whether tattooed on his chest or embossed on his sneakers the artist ‘always carries the spirit of the crocodile’.

The L001 will be available throughout Lacoste retail stores and online from 30th August, and available in a selection of retailers from 16th August. So set your alarms so you can get your hands on the hottest sneaker of the season!
