Converse is ringing in the new year with a shimmery collaboration that’ll elevate your entire wardrobe. After years of innovation, the brand has partnered with Swarovski to produce a luxurious update to the iconic Chuck 70 silhouette we’ve all come to know and love.

Unveiled two weeks before their global release, the Chuck 70 De Luxe Squared (£290) completes the De Luxe trio as the bold, polished and playful sibling to the De Luxe Wedge and De Luxe Heel. Combining the effortless chic of the Converse All Star with the luxurious Swarovski crystals we’ve all come to admire, the shoe dedicates itself as an item for a new form of self-expression in the most dazzling of ways.

The new arrival is all about the angles. The classic rubber toe has been sculpted into a sharper, sleeker shape, while the signature star-adorned ankle patch has been refreshed into an octangular shape. Though the most noticeable addition lies in the shoe’s upper, with over 1,300 glistening individual Swarovski crystals embellished into each pair, featuring in a range of sizes that are sure to add opulence and texture to any outfit.
