In a monumental partnership of two British icons, Burberry is reimagining the iconic Harrods, Brompton Road store to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the department store’s legendary presence with an exciting month-long knight blue takeover. To mark the occasion Burberry are reminiscing back to their roots of exploration and the spirit of the great outdoors. From converting the famed Harrods green awnings into a gorgeous seasonal Burberry check, to adorning the display windows of the store with draped waterproof fabrics, guy ropes and carabiners, the décor gives a nod back to the Burberry’s attentiveness to practicality.

Even Harrods’ charming green men are getting involved, hanging up their iconic green outfits for the first time in Harrods history as they sport the dashing Knight Blue Burberry Check, first introduced to us in Burberry’s Spring 2024 collection.

Bringing the outside in, the store has been transformed into a land of Burberry bliss with a Burberry Camping Corner offering bespoke hiking accessories, including a limited-edition orienteering map of Knightsbridge in collaboration with the Open City charity who specialise in empowering communities to reconnect with their neighbourhoods. Accompanying these pop-up spaces, visitors are invited to explore Burberry’s rich history through a dedicated rainwear space – featuring a collection of the brand’s iconic trench coats exhibiting the brand’s treasured legacy.

Burberry’s Creative Director Daniel Lee has ‘created a uniquely Burberry experience exclusively at Harrods that embraces our very British spirit of fun and adventure’, bringing the takeover to the next level with a virtual lens offered through a partnership with Snapchat, allowing visitors an exciting opportunity to experience and interact with the world of Burberry in-store.

Feeling peckish during your exploration? Parked at Door 5 the Burberry food truck is unmissable as it sports a knight blue body with picnic benches to match, serving a selection of British pastries and hot drink to quench your thirst. In store a limited-edition knight blue picnic blanket will be offered in a gorgeous Harrods hamper curated by Burberry, alongside an assortment of teas, wine, confectionary and more to celebrate the occasion. And not to be left out, Harrods’ signature bear has been given an adorable makeover from the fashion house with a miniature hand-embroidered scarf keeping the treasured teddy cosy as we escape the Winter months, with 175 of these furry friends available exclusively at the location a visit soon is a must! But if you’re unable to check out Brompton Road in-person, set your FOMO aside, as Burberry has once again collaborated with the immersive platform Roblox to offer a stunning virtual experience – bringing the iconic Harrods location online for players. With an interactive environment and exclusive Burberry items to unlock, the online experience is sure to captivate the gamers in us all.

The Burberry Harrods takeover will run through the month of February until the 29th - that leap year sure does come in handy, hey?
