The At Home, Feel Good Foot Therapy

Published

As we are starting to get back on our feet again with lockdown restrictions easing and salons beginning to open, you may still be waiting to get booked in for that well needed pedicure.

If you’re looking for a simple at home foot therapy recipe, in between waiting for your next pedicure appointment, look no further.

Rosie Khandwala, founder of Sugar Coated has created a simple foot exfoliation recipe that you can do from the comfort of your own home. Here’s 3 easy steps to soft smoother feet.

All you need is: 400g of Sugar, 1 sliced lemon and a handful of Lavender.

Follow Rosie’s simple steps below:

Rub the Lavender flowers in your hands into the sugar. This infuses the aroma of Lavender
Arrange the lemon slices on-top of your two piles. Start to rub your feet onto each pile
Scrunch your toes to release the lemon juices onto the sugar. Massage your feet for 15-20 minutes

Whilst you are creating some gentle friction between the sugar and your feet, the lavender flower is releasing natural oils. As you continue to massage your feet into the sugar, it will stimulate blood circulation to pressure points on the soles of your feet.

The Results

After trying out the recipe, not only was my living room transported to Sanctuary Spa but my feet really did end up softer than before, removing the dead skin cells from the surface of my feet. Don’t expect your cracked heels to be cured after 20 minutes but there is definitely a noticeable difference to your feet.

So when you’re next sitting, relaxing watching TV prepare this easy recipe for your feet and thank Rosie later.
