The 5 Minute Face

Published

A quick and easy make-up routine that will take just 5 minutes and make you look fabulous!

First things first: BASE –  2 minutes
You want to invest the first 2 minutes pampering your skin with serum, moisturizer and primer to create a lovely base so that your make-up can last throughout the day. Start with applying a BB cream or foundation, layering it over and buffing it in with a brush for a more finished look.

CONTOURING –  1 minute 30 seconds
Use a minute to apply a nice contour to bring your cheekbones out and give a bit of structure to the face and use the same shade in the eye creases, this will bring your eyes out while skipping the whole eyeshadow application. Use mascara for your eyelashes, apply it in a zig-zag motion from the roots up – this step will enhance your eyes and completely transform the look. No wonder mascara is always chosen as the ultimate desert island product! Don’t worry if you smudge the mascara while being in a hurry – leave the smudge on your skin until it dries out and then simply scrape it off without any traces left, it’s so easy!

LIPS and CHEEKS – 1 minute
Use a semi-matte creamy lipstick which is similar to your natural skin shade – the texture is meant to last a bit longer and this way you can skip contouring you lips and thus save you time. Dab a bit of the lippie on the apples of your cheeks to add some colour in instead of powder blusher (can look a bit too much if you don’t have the time to proplerly blend it in)

FINISHING TOUCH – 30 seconds
Set your T-zone with a tiny bit of translucent powder and then spritz a tiny bit of setting spray to keep your make-up in place throughout the day. And just like that, your quick and easy make-up routine is done! Ta daaa!
