Formula One fans, legendary designer Tommy Hilfiger and bold streetwear brand Awake NY have joined forces with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 team to drop a motorsport collection that has left us all feeling the need for speed.
The collaboration brings together avid F1 fan and Awake NY’s founder, Angelo Baque’s contemporary street style with Tommy Hilfiger’s timeless prep aesthetic. Angelo said that the collaboration aims to “authentically interpret streetwear and Americana”, and it’s safe to say the designers have effortlessly done this.
The collection includes seven unisex styles that reflect both brands desires to inspire the next generation of F1 fans. Archival Hilfiger designs and street styles blend together to showcase the unity of the collaboration. The classic American aesthetic can be adopted with the baseball jersey (£210), while there’s the ability to make a statement with a diva pink or electric blue lemonade Grand Prix inspired t-shirt (£150). The iconic Tommy Hilfiger, Awake NY and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS logos adorn jerseys and rugby shirts in the collection, as well as Lewis Hamilton and George Russell’s racing numbers to make you feel like one of the team.
The bold volt green, black and white colour palette echoes the colours of the F1 team, while the red, white and blue colourway pays homage to Tommy Hilfiger’s signature style. And of course, the iconic designers aren’t stopping there - they've teamed up with F1 racing stars, legend and seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton and Grand-Prix winner George Russell to front the campaign.
The campaign even features Mercedes-AMG team reserve driver and emerging talent Mick Schumacher, making this collab all the more exciting!
