Everything REVOLVE is Doing to Become More Sustainable

Published

In recent years, many shopping brands have begun to dedicate their shopping platform to enhancing their ethical credentials and forming a community that makes a difference to the natural environment. For American online retailer REVOLVE, this journey is just beginning with the launch of their sustainable global initiative, REVOLVE For The World, working in partnership with innovative organisations to spotlight independent causes and protect the natural environment.

In celebration of this month’s World Earth Day, the brand also supported the environmental philanthropic arm One Tree Planted who focuses upon preservation, reforestation and maintaining the earth’s biodiversity. Making use of their social media, the brand encouraged followers to get involved and share their ethical content on Instagram using the #revolvefortheworld hashtag. For every photo posted, the brand planted pledged to plant a single tree in a national park in efforts to combat deforestation.

The premium retailer also introduced a ‘Sustainable Shop’ section to their e-commerce store, curating a selection of stylish conscious labels for you to browse through. To make things easier, you can filter the section through the variety of categories including organic, recycled, plant-based, low impact, recycled and responsible manufacturing. The section features brands including Agolde, Bardot, Boyish and Sanctuary. The section is also home to their first completely eco-conscious inhouse brand ‘Tularosa Green’. Becoming the transparent sister brand to popular label ‘Tularosa’, the green range will feature garments made from 100% natural cotton and harmless chemical free dyes, with packaging crafted from pre-consumer materials. The pieces are created using advanced technology that reduces water consumption and energy waste.

But it isn’t just sustainable fashion that the retailer has newly tapped into, Revolve has also dipped their toes into the ocean of ethical beauty by releasing their second beauty bag. This month’s clean beauty bag contains seven skincare essentials, all created from natural resources and plant-based ingredients. Looking after both our skin and the natural environment, key products within the bag include Herbivore Botanicals Smoothing Serum, Go To Transformazing Mask, Ere Perez Argan Brow Hero, Lashfood Phyto Medic Eyelash Enhancer and Act + Acre Plant Based Dry Shampoo. Priced at £86, the clean beauty bag contains all your needs to build ethical products into your daily beauty routines right from revitalising face masks to midnight black mascaras.

With the REVOLVE brand working hard to reduce their carbon footprint and implement more ethical manufacturing practises across their labels, they offer us a glimmer of hope for fashion. The sustainable shop is now open so be sure to check it out!
