Converse Welcomes GRAMMY Award-Winning Rapper Baby Keem To The Family

Published

2022 has been quite the year for Baby Keem, whether that be the artist and producer supporting his cousin Kendrick Lamar on The Big Stepper’s Tour, or headlining his own European tour in the coming months. The GRAMMY award-winning rapper is now onto his next venture as he teams up with Converse.

The 21-year-old creative will explore multiple dimensions of the Chuck Taylor All Star through his creative vision. The partnership is part of the ongoing Create Next campaign which aims to offer a platform for creatives around the world, and disciplines the creative freedom to shape Converse’s legacy.

To announce the partnership (the rapper’s first with a brand) Keem posted on his Instagram revealing his own short film in which he holds up a cassette tape labeled ‘LP #2’ – a possible tease that a fourth studio album is coming. Of course, also featuring the black Chuck Taylor All Star High Top, which the 21-year-old has called “iconic and timeless.”

The collaboration should perhaps come as no surprise as Kendrick’s music production company, pgLang, dropped a Converse collection earlier in the summer.

Keem is the next creative force in the Converse community that already boasts the likes of fellow GRAMMY award-winner Tyler, The Creator and basketballers Natasha Cloud, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Alexis Sablone.

We can’t wait to see what this partnership brings to the table, we’ll be keeping an eye out so don’t worry we’ve got you covered!
