Ruka Is Revolutionising The Black Haircare Industry & Their Next Step Is Selfridges

Published

You need to take a moment because this isn’t something you want to miss! After their successful launch last year, science-led haircare brand, Ruka is changing the game with the launch of their hair extensions, tools, and formulations in Selfridges this month.

After a 17 week residency in Westfield Stratford, Ruka are heading onto their next stop in the UK capital’s Selfridges store. Together, the duo will work to create a futuristic hair experience stocking the brands’ Wet Products Lab, and their award-winning, ethically sourced human hair extensions.

Placing education and community first, this range of extensions have been crafted with innovation at its heart. The result? Texture accuracy, ensuring a convenient, fuss-free shopping experience.

Celebrating their new permanent residency, Ruka will be taking time to educate shoppers on the world of curls, coils, and their Wet products, with an intimate pop-up opening its doors tomorrow. Can’t make it? Don’t stress because the interactive, educational event will run for a whole week before moving to their retail stand (AKA forever home) on 20thOctober.

Teaming up with Selfridges to focus on exploration and education for customers, Ruka’s Co-Founder and CEO, Tendai Moyo says ‘We knew that creating the Apple of haircare meant finding a partner that understood the level of innovation and care that our village of consumers deserved,’

We’re incredibly excited to continue honouring our mission of increasing visibility and accessibility to products that have been a core part of Black women’s hair care but have failed to be seen in the mainstream.

Sounds good right? So, whether you’re ready to fill your baskets with all things hair, or perhaps want to learn more about your locks, Ruka X Selfridges is the place to be.
