adidas Originals and trendy LA label Sporty & Rich drop their fourth collaborative collection reworking the iconic Handball Spezial silhouette and giving it a fresh, pastel-hued makeover that's perfect for the summer months.

This isn't the first time adidas and Sporty & Rich have joined forces. The cult fashion brand, founded by Emily Oberg, has become renowned for its adidas collaborations that put a cool, contemporary spin on classic Three Stripes styles. Previous team-ups have included reworked Samba and Stan Smith, as well as retro-inspired apparel pieces.

For their latest joint effort, the focus is squarely on footwear with not one, but three new Handball Spezial colourways. The iconic indoor court shoe has been a terrace casual favourite for decades, known for its simple yet stylish suede and leather construction.

The adidas x Sporty & Rich Handball Spezials stay true to the original's DNA, featuring a soft suede upper accompanied by leather detailing like the classic T-toe overlay and heel mustache. However, the muted pastel shades of pink, teal green and brown give them a fresh, feminine update that's totally on-trend for SS24.

As well as the tonal suede uppers, each pair features subtle gold foil Sporty & Rich branding and comes packaged in a special collaborative box. It's these thoughtful design touches that have made the brand's adidas collections so coveted by sneakerheads and fashion fans alike.

With their unique blend of sports style heritage and contemporary cool, the new Adidas Originals and Sporty & Rich Handball Spezials are sure to be an instant sell-out. Additionally, to champion sustainability, Sporty & Rich will plant a tree for every order placed, partnering with Eden Reforestation Projects to restore forests in Madagascar.

The trainers drop on CONFIRMED,, adidas stores and select retailers. Don't sleep on copping your pair of these summer-ready sneakers!
