Hello? Wales Bonner Just Called About Their Fourth Partnership With Adidas

Published

The dynamic duo returns once more this season to continue exploring the sportswear brand’s archives, focusing on styles from the 1970s and 90s. Marking their fourth season of creative partnership, the new offering draws on Wales Bonner’s research into the music and photography of Burkina Faso, West Africa, throughout these decades.

Paying homage to creative energy and individuality of style, the SS22 collaboration reimagines key Adidas looks through the lens of music, movement, textures, silhouettes, and graphic prints. We are welcomed to athletic jacquard knitwear and Seventies-inspired twist on the brand’s classic WB Track Top and Track Pants, arriving in a bold and youthful colour palette of red, sun yellow and pale pink.

When discussing this collaboration, we cannot forget to mention the array of footwear, most recently adorned by Rihanna whilst visiting the Mexican Geniuses exhibition in London. Riri knows what’s up as she sports Wales Bonner’s distinctive take on the WB Samba sneaker, which is updated in two bright colours – the singer opting for the green offering (brb just trying to find a pair for ourselves…)

Placing emphasis on soulful and elegant comfort, the collection also presents two elevated riffs on the adidas Country silhouette, an OG trainer from the Adidas archive – a range that is certainly not leaving us short of choice! Brought to life by photographers Jalan and Jibril Durimel and stylist Tom Guinness, the vibrant campaign celebrates the togetherness and connection of both of the collection and beyond.

Want even better news? The collaborative collection is available globally now on the Confirmed app and through select retailers! Don’t mind us, we’re just on our way to buy the whole collection.
