Just when we thought the Savage X Fenty empire could not get any bigger, the unstoppable brand have just announced via Instagram an expansion to open their first physical storefront locations in the US. Unapologetic confidence, fearless beauty and a fierce attitude to fashion as well as the star’s Midas touch is everything we can expect from the brand’s retail experience. Not to mention the electric neon and bold colourways that are sure to illuminate the label’s revolutionary pieces. Although the retail stores may only be in Las Vegas, Houston, Philadelphia and Washington, we are hoping Riri takes this one international or we’ll be jetting on that plane to the US ASAP Rocky!

Ever imagined a barbie girl living in a Balmain world? French luxury fashion house, Balmain are toying with that very idea this season as they collaborate with Mattel’s Barbie doll. Drawing inspiration from Balmain’s elevated aesthetic and the diverse style of the Parisian boulevard with splashes of 90’s nostalgic Barbie pink, the brands present a unisex, fashion and accessories collection. Ready-to-wear pieces of tees, dungarees and hoodies are amongst signature mermaid dresses and structured tailoring; splashed with soft blushes and bubble-gum tones between the signature marinere and Labyrinth patterns. No longer will Barbie and Ken follow gender ideals but instead be interchangeable in this multi-cultural, inclusive and joy-filled 50-piece collection. What’s more, the brand has also entered the virtual world of NFT’s through their online avatars. Connecting both the physical world and digital metaverse, each garment comes with virtual artwork too!

Michael Kors Grow Into the Kidswear Market

Speaking of high-end designer and nostalgic kids fashion, Michael Kors is entering the luxury childrenswear market with their first clothing and accessories collection in partnership with Children Worldwide Fashion (CWF). Championing cool, stylish and comfortable style, the collection offers children a sense of unapologetic confidence, creativity and self-expression through fashion. Channelling the brand’s opulent womenswear and activewear collections, the capsule will be home to jersey dresses, swimwear and statement accessories. The collection will launch this Spring, with the first stylish pieces for girls aged 4 to 14, which will expand to include baby clothing towards the end of the year. Watch out, your kid’s style will certainly be rivalling yours this year!
